Can anyone help explain what the DEV is and how it’s used or it’s purpose

I don’t understand the question. I don’t see any nodes called “dev”
xod-dev folder is for devices that have nodes built-in to XOD if that is what you are asking about…

The xod-dev nodes are used just like all the others. You drag them into your patch & connect pins. What pins there are & how to use them depends on the device they are for. Some are for simple digital or analog input/output that only require a single pin. Some implement I2C communication and will be considerably more complicated. If you don’t have a device, nodes for it won’t do you any good. If you have a specific device you are trying to code for, knowing what it is and what you are trying to do with it might allow us to help you.
