Move shot move photography project

Hi
I wonder if someone has a code already.
I dont know how to synchronize a stepper motor and a relay. I want to move my camera which is in a rail and after I move, I want to activate a relay to take a picture.

As of right now I am able to move the camera and activate a relay but both operation are happening at the same time even though I set the timers at different times i.e. 3,4 seconds apart.
