First, thank you for all the previous help.
Here’s my problem, I got my project working perfectly with an UNO and now i picked up some Sparkfun Pro Micro’s to shrink down the size. I had to load the hardware definition into the arduino IDE and update the driver and it now seems to download and the board is listed. The processor is:ATmega32U4 5v 16mhz which is similar to the Leonardo but none of the core text displays text-lcd16x2 will download to it if i delete the display the patch will download if i add back any display it changes com ports and “Programmer is not responding”
Is there a hardware add on for the “sparkfun pro micro”
Just trying to get the correct board selected at download
