Transmission issue when changing from software serial to serial2

I got this working with software serial at 9600 baud D8 / D9.
After chaning to hardware serial2 at the same settings the watch nodes freeze and I can not receive anything on my terminal programm connected to serial2.
Target board is a Mega 2560.

Can you please check this?

Tested it, and midi-send patch indeed freezes the board.

But reducing it to something like this

solved the problem, so I don’t think this was serial2’s fault.

I will experiment a bit more and try to find the cause of a problem.
