# problems downloading the pro mini

hello everyone! does anyone know how to upload a sketch to an arduino pro mini?

You need to select the appropriate board before uploading. Arduino pro mini is one of the options:

I understood that. Do I need to connect the pro mini via a programmer or via another arduino?

It would be the same for XOD as for Aduino IDE. From [https://docs.arduino.cc/retired/boards/arduino-pro-mini/](https://docs.arduino.cc/retired/boards/arduino-pro-mini/), it says early on “A six pin header can be connected to an FTDI cable or Sparkfun breakout board to provide USB power and communication to the board.”
