# NodeMCU 8266 V3, when compiling Error : Process Exited with Code 2

I am trying to use XOD with my NodeMCU 8266 V3. The board selected is NodeMCU 1.0 (ESP-12E Module). During Compiling a LED Blink patch it gives me Error 2 and exits. Please see attached the Screen shot. Please advise what I should do to recitify this.

To load a sketch, you must first insert it into the project window. You are trying to load an empty sketch.

there is the main patch, if you have it in that same … you don’t see anything there, they must be in that one. If they are another compile in the other
