#1 Can you please indicate the TOTAL SIZE of installation ?
#2 My SSD (boot) drive is filling up. Can you give us the OPTION to install to another drive/folder? (not knowing the size concerns me even more)

The compilation/upload toolchain is installed to the workspace directory. You can change it with File → Switch Workspace. The tools size depends on your board model. For example, Arduino AVR (Uno, Nano, etc) take about 200 MB.
