# Biomaker training resources for XOD

We’ve updated the training materials for learning XOD at: [https://www.biomaker.org](https://www.biomaker.org) - We now have a multi-step set of materials.:

**Stage-1** is for newcomers to XOD, based on the Seeed Studio Grove Beginner Kit and with free handbook (available to download as a PDF in English or Spanish). [Stage 1 — Biomaker.org](https://www.biomaker.org/training-stage-1)

**Stage-2** includes a custom stand for the Grove Beginner Kit from Totemmaker ( [**https://totemmaker.net/wiki/rack-for-grove-kits/**](https://totemmaker.net/wiki/rack-for-grove-kits/) and an expanded set of components that provide timing, new sensors and displays to experiment with. These are particularly useful for applications in biology - measurements or control in the laboratory or in the field.

The hardware is relatively accessible and low-cost - and all of the support materials are freely available.
